Ingredients
As written—carrots, gratedगाजर · गाजर
2 cupssugar (for 4 cups grated carrot)गाजर · गाजर
littlegheeतूप · घी
—milk, enough to coverदूध · दूध
2 to 3 tablespoonsmilk cream (optional)
littlesaffron (optional)केशर · केसर
to tastecardamom powderवेलची · इलायची
—almonds, cut or grated — not powder (optional)बदाम · बादाम

The order
In order01PrepClean and wash the carrots.
02PrepGrate the carrots. Measure it — if 4 cups then keep 2 cups sugar ready in a bowl.
03PrepTake a wok when hot add little ghee. Then add the grated carrots and stir it for sometime.
04PrepThen add milk till the carrots are fully covered with milk.
05PrepWhen half the milk is evaporated add the sugar — save little sugar as it should not become very sweet. And if sugar is less u can add per your requirements, and cook till done.
06PrepIf you have milk cream add 2 to 3 tablespoons. Cook it completely dry.
07PrepAdd little saffron (optional). Then add cardamom powder according to your taste.
08PrepIf you like u can add cut almonds or grated pieces (not powder). Gajar halva is ready.
